Customized Baskets
One of the most interesting aspects of basket making is manipulating a basket to fit a specific need. As an example, look at Suzanne's Fancy Round Basket, the original basket has a 14 inch diameter. One woman wanted this basket because of its unique curls, however, she didn't have a space large enough for this basket. We were able to shrink this basket to 9 inches in diameter. This proved to be just what she wanted.
Look at Fruit and Flowers, both of these baskets have the exact directions. By changing the size of the reed used, a basket will look very different. The colors chosen will also make a distinct difference in a basket.
